Cytos Biotechnology at a Glance
Cytos Biotechnology Ltd is a public Swiss biotechnology company engaged in the discovery, development and commercialization of a novel class of biopharmaceutical products – the Immunodrugs™. Immunodrugs™ are therapeutic vaccines intended for use in the treatment and prevention of common chronic diseases which afflict millions of people worldwide. With breakthrough innovation in immunology and biotechnology, the Company has built a diversified pipeline of Immunodrug™ candidates targeting important chronic disease indications. Six product candidates are currently in clinical development. The programs are both developed in-house as well as in partnership with leading pharmaceutical companies (Novartis, Pfizer and Pfizer Animal Health). Immunodrugs™ represent an innovative and completely novel approach for chronic disease management.    

Founded in 1995, Cytos Biotechnology Ltd has its corporate headquarters in Schlieren (Zurich), Switzerland. The Company is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange (ticker symbol: CYTN).


Business Strategy

Based on our versatile Immunodrug™ platform and expertise in immunological sciences we seek to

  • be a prime innovator for the pharmaceutical industry by contributing novel therapeutic vaccines addressing unmet medical need.
  • selectively partner Immunodrug™ candidates addressing mass markets with the pharmaceutical industry after clinical proof-of-concept in phase II clinical trials.
  • provide pharmaceutical partners with access to our Immunodrug™ platform in well defined, target-specific licensing arrangements outside the scope of our own programs.
  • benefit from potential cross-sector opportunities by applying Immunodrugs™ in human and animal health.
